I have been meaning to set this thing up ever since I first took an intro course on web design a couple years back. It was never a fully fleshed out idea, though. I mostly just thought it would be neat to make a blog. But what would I do with it? I didn't really know.
But lately I've had more free time, and I've been struggling to find productive things to do with it, so here we are. It is with delight that I welcome one and all to this fresh website!

My intention for this blog is for it mostly to be a brain dump. I enjoy creative writing and also have a few ideas for software that I could try to create, and I intend to showcase it all here. On the homepage for this site I have included a section titled "I Made These." This is where you will be able to see my latest creations. Once I have written enough posts of this kind, I will likely design a page to show a catalogue of them all in one place.
In addition to making stuff, I also of course enjoy consuming stuff. The second purpose for this space is for me to review all sorts of fictional media: books, movies, shows, video games, you name it! I especially love sci-fi/fantasy genres, anything that has strong themes that get you thinking, and games made by independent developers. Who knows, maybe I'll make my own game someday! No promises...
As for this site, there's still a lot I need to do to get it where I want it to be. The main structure of it is here, but as I go along I intend to make some major changes to the site's appearance, and eventually add some features to it to make my uploading posts easier, as well as provide opportunities for people to interact and share ideas or thoughts with me.

For now, my plans are as follows:
- Upload some short stories I have already written
- Write up my review rubric
- Post a to-do list to keep track of my current projects and what I intend to review
- Write some initial reviews to start filling out that category

I intend to upload to this site at least once a month, maybe more, especially as I'm just starting out and getting everything in shape. But once a month at least should be a good pace for me to set in the long term.

Finally, here's a list of changes and features I would like to add to this blog in the future:
- Add mobile-friendly format
- Update appearance to make it less ugly (probably put something in this empty void on the right side of the page)
- Change back end to use a database so I don't have to create a new HTML file every time I post
- Add a system for people to give me review recommendations
- Create system that lets people choose to receive email notifications when I upload
- Add a comment system so people can share their thoughts on posts (also Add a way for me to remove comments from people who are being turds)
